BEIJING, July 17 (Xinhua) -- China's meteorological authority on Sunday renewed its blue alert for rainstorms in some southern and central regions.


Heavy rain or storms are expected in parts of Hunan, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guizhou, Sichuan, Gansu and Ningxia from Sunday afternoon to Monday afternoon, the National Meteorological Center said in a statement on its website.
