Grand Seiko Heritage 62GS best replica watches Of Switzerland Group
In general, I'm a big fan of Grand Seiko, and I find most of the brand's watches to be objectively beautiful pieces, even if they aren't models I would personally wear on a regular basis. However, a lot of the watches that Grand Seiko produces fit a similar theme and aesthetic, and as much as I like most of the watches from the Japanese manufacturer, there are times when I wish the brand would pump the brakes a bit and actually release fewer new watches. That being said, it's hard to be truly disappointed with a brand that produces so many attractive watches, and as part of its 2023 releases, Grand Seiko has partnered with Watches Of Switzerland Group to create three new models based on the brand's famous 1967 62GS case design.
The three models in the Grand Seiko Heritage 62GS luxury replica Watches Of Switzerland Group include the gray SBGH333, the green SBGH335, and the purple SBGH337, with the only cosmetic differences between the three models being the color of the dial and the seconds hand. The second hand on both the SBGH335 and SBGH337 is a darker shade of purple and green than the colors displayed on the dial, while the second hand on the SBGH333 is a bright blue that contrasts nicely with the dark metallic grey finish of the dial.
Visually, the Grand Seiko Heritage 62GS Watches Of Switzerland Group Exclusive trio wears much the same as other modern Grand Seiko references based on the historic 62GS case, with its stainless steel components finished to perfection with Zaratsu polishing and contrasting linear brushed surfaces. Water resistance is 100 meters thanks to the signature screw-down crown at 3 o'clock and the screw-down exhibition caseback, and while Grand Seiko can't seem to avoid printing some sort of graphic on its sapphire caseback window, the Watches of Switzerland 62GS models feature a very subtle transparent Grand Seiko logo, finally allowing for an unobstructed view of the mechanical movement driving the watch.
Inside, all three new Grand Seiko Heritage 62GS swiss replica watches of Switzerland models are powered by the same Hi-Beat Caliber 9S85 automatic movement found in the rest of the brand's modern line, which beats at 36,000 vph (5 Hz) and has a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. Compared to the rather wide tolerances typically associated with entry-level Seiko movements, the Grand Seiko Hi-Beat Cal. 9S85 is a completely different beast, with an accuracy rating of -3/+5 seconds per day. And while it's not as finely finished as some of the movements in the brand's more premium models, the Cal. 9S85 is still quite handsome, with perlage on the mainplate, gold-plated engravings on the markings, and the brand's signature “Tokyo stripes” adorning much of the visible surface.
As for the dimensions, the press release for the Grand Seiko Heritage 62GS Watches Of Switzerland Group Exclusive model states that it has a 40mm diameter, 12.5mm thickness, 21mm lugs, and a total lug-to-lug ratio of 46.2mm. However, when I measured the watch with a set of digital calipers, I discovered that they are actually 12.9mm in total thickness and 47mm lug-to-lug, which are exactly the same dimensions as the other 40mm 62GS models with Cal. 9S85 listed by Grand Seiko on their official website. In fact, we are talking about differences in the millimeter range, and I personally think that the Watches of Switzerland 62GS model is almost identical to its standard production siblings in the Grand Seiko Heritage line, which are also based on the 40mm version of the 62GS case. replica Jacob & Co. The 21mm lugs of the Grand Seiko 62GS Watches of Switzerland models are all equipped with the brand's standard five-link stainless steel bracelet, which consists of a primarily brushed surface with three larger brushed links separated by thin Zaratsu-polished sections. The bracelet itself is well-made and detailed, but the removable links are secured by a rather fiddly floating pin system with small threaded caps at the ends of each link held in place, which means that the process of resizing the bracelet is slightly more complicated than dealing with a single-sided screw. Additionally, while the bracelet does not include quick-release connections for the end links or any kind of integrated extension system, the push-button clasp does provide a very compact overall profile, and the bracelet includes a pair of half links to help the wearer fit the wrist comfortably.
One of the most notable features of the 62GS case is that it has no bezel, which allows the visual focus of the watch to be on its flowing lugs and better showcase its dial. As for the three dials of the Grand Seiko 62GS Watches of Switzerland Group Exclusive, all three feature the same core design, a classic 62GS layout with an intricate mosaic pattern that adds texture to its surface. Likewise, while the hands all feature Grand Seiko's signature crown princess shape with perfectly polished angles, the second hand on the green-dialed SBGH335 and purple-dialed SBGH337 features a dark green and purple lacquer finish, while the second hand on the grey-dialed model is bright blue. Also, unlike the purple and green models, the beveled minute ring around the grey SBGH333 dial features a matching finish at the five-minute mark, in a bright blue that complements the second hand. replica Patek Philippe Watches
I personally love Grand Seiko's nature-inspired dials, although the Iwate Prefecture of Japan is home to countless different designs and the concept behind Grand Seiko's dials starts to feel a bit far-fetched. The dials of the Swiss Watches 62GS models pay homage to the starry sky of Jodogahama Beach, which (nature) is located in Miyako Bay in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. The blue accents on the grey SBGH333 are meant to symbolise the surface of water under the moonlight, while the green SBGH335 and purple SBGH337 represent the "dynamic universe in the sky" with their striking pale green and purple colour scheme. I'm not quite sure what the purple and green "universe" the limited edition models are referring to, other than the northern lights (which I'm pretty sure are not visible from Jodogahama), but there's no denying that the dials on the Watches Of Switzerland Group Exclusive models are all very nice looking, with their intricate mosaic patterns creating a rather dynamic overall look.
Grand Seiko makes excellent watches, but having too many versions of a good product can slightly detract from what might otherwise be seen as an auspicious product. I personally like all three of the Watches Of Switzerland Group Exclusive models, but I also find several other Grand Seiko models in the 62GS case to be equally attractive, making it difficult for me to choose one I really want to buy for myself. https://www.proreviewwatch.co |
